Review of PowerPoint Online
I use Microsoft PowerPoint on a daily basis as it is a powerful tool for presentations, visual drawings and has many other uses. It is very easy to use with some very intelligent features if you can spare sometime to learn using the product more effectively. MS PowerPoint is used by all Departments in our company as this tool comes standard with the MS Office / 365 package and the company has already designed a standard company template in MS PowerPoint for all to use. MS PowerPoint assists in presentations as it can be make presenting more understandable to the audience as well as interesting and fun at the same time. It can also be used to make quick drawings for documents due to its flexibility and ease of use.

- Has many good features such as animations and transitions
- Is platform independent due to running on a web browser
- Has an offline save feature in event you loose your internet connection, your can still continue working and changes will be saved once back online
- Saves presentations in the cloud thus accessible on any device, anywhere and anytime as long as you have an internet connection

Online Presentation Software
We are an Ed-Tech Start-up. We provide courses on various topics like App development, website development (Frontend and Backend), Cloud, graphic designing, UI/UX and many more. Due to the pandemic everything has changed. The transition from offline classes to online classes has seen an increase in usage of video conference softwares, presentation tools both for the employees [internal team meetings] and for the students [Instructors need to make some presentation for the students]. Though many people still use Microsoft Powerpoint Desktop version, Microsoft did a great work by introducing the web version. It has its own set of pros and cons and off course you can't completely rule out or outstrip the Desktop version. The best part don't have to click on save button each and everyone time you make a change. Everything is saved automatically [it has cloud storage], but only when you have good network connection.

- No need to click the save button again and again when you make changes. Everything gets saved automatically to cloud [provided you have good network connection]
- Web browser based application
- A lot of features from the desktop version are still missing [such as more colours, gradients, eyedropper, effects, and styles]
- It currently does not support editing on password protected presentations
- Printing of slides is limited in PowerPoint online when compared to desktop version. It allows to print only one slide per page
- Cannot be used to make advanced presentations due to lack of features [no presenter view, grid and snapping tool and many more]

We are using Microsoft Powerpoint Online in our organization in almost every department. This is the must tool to create effective presentations. To be very specific about the tool our final year students are using it for their project presentation which they have to submit in final and pre final semester, and faculties are using it for paper and research presentations. Overall we are using it on the daily basis. With online office you can create and maintain your presentation on cloud, so that you can access your presentation anywhere any time, and you can also work in a collaborative environment.

- You can access your presentations from anywhere at any time
- You can include flash files and video objects that will make your presentation even better
- You can customize your presentation according to your requirements if you don't want to use default templates
- With bulk of data and audio video objects your presentation will take too long to play

King of presentations - Microsoft Powerpoint Online
Microsoft Powerpoint Online is used by the whole company to make presentations. Earlier we only were using PowerPoint desktop app but now with the Online version having all the same functionality, people are using it too for making and delivering the presentations and also teams are collaborating on presentations online.
- Great presentation software it is with options of multi slide modes
- Multiple formats to save your presentation file in are available like pdf etc
- Multiple Font styles are available and also multiple effects
- Inserting objects like excel files etc doesnt work that great
- Can't add custom video based templates

The industry standard exists for a reason. Collaborate using the tool all the others try to emulate.
Primarily, our organization uses Microsoft PowerPoint online to develop collaborative presentations that require a good deal of input from a variety of people. As a company that operates from multiple geographic locations, using the online version allows us to plug in a wide range of people in a single presentation. Examples of the kinds of presentations we develop collaboratively are pitch presentations and quarterly or annual reporting presentations.
- Microsoft PowerPoint online allows for collaboration across offices and teams. That's a big deal and it resolves version control issues.
- Microsoft PowerPoint online lets us download a PowerPoint native presentation that is easily opened in the desktop version with minimal issues.
- The online version really does a good job of emulating the offline experience, so there's virtually no learning curve for new users.
- Running a presentation from PowerPoint online has been a disappointing experience. Things just don't react as smoothly as they do in the offline version because we're relying on sometimes iffy internet connections.
- Video does not play well when it's embedded and played through the online version.
- Downloading a PPT file that was created online creates almost no inconsistencies, but in my experience uploading a PPT to the online version that was created offline sometimes does create issues with fonts and formatting.

A very familiar face, but improved
PowerPoint has been the go-to software for presentations for a long time. Now, with the online tool, we're able to share documents and modify documents in a blink of an eye. As a trainer myself, I use Powerpoint for approximately half the class (the other part is more practice with other tools). It's used by the entire Training team across the organization.
- Sharing documents is easy and simple.
- Modifying anything on the go is way faster, even when you're not at home.
- If you're used to the software that it's installed on every Windows computer, you'll love it, as it's basically the same layout.
- the integration with Onedrive and other tools like Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, etc. is very useful to move around quickly.
- Handling large documents might not be as efficient, not sure if this is based on the current load of the computer I'm working with, but sometimes we have to take a moment (around 20 seconds) to load the entire file.
This tool is widely used by all departments in our organization for presentations, reports, and knowledge transfers to internal and external clients. The online version makes sharing and collaboration easy.

PowerPoint Online is used as part of the Office 360 suite of products. It's offered to all faculty and staff at a few of the colleges at which I teach. It helps us collaborate with each other, editing and contributing to our shared lectures together in real time. We can then, in turn, share view-only versions of the notes in our courses with our students.

All Online (With Less Features)
PowerPoint Online was used as a way to work on presentations with other users and present the slide deck to clients or internal stakeholders without having to have a saved version locally. The biggest issue we ran into is that many users were on linux which does not have a native application version of office. The online version was the only way we could work with these users.
- Platform-independent. Can be used on PC, Mac, or even on mobile computing
- Cloud application, meaning that no local storage is required to build a presentation
- Intuitive interface, similar to the MS Office suite
- Several of the functions that people are used to in Windows or Mac are not available
- Feels a bit clunky - slower to insert pictures
- Formatting was more difficult than the OS apps.
